Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

Posted

Administrative Professionals Day falls on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, and this is a holiday your entire company needs to observe. Designed to honor the unsung heroes of the workforce, this special day was first observed in 1952. In 1955, the National Secretaries Association officially set the date of this annual celebration to the last week of April.

The scope of the job has changed greatly throughout the years, causing both the name of the organization and the holiday itself to undergo a series of transformations. In 1981, the National Secretaries Association became Professional Secretaries International and it evolved into the current name of the International Association of Administrative Professionals in 1998. Previously known as National Secretaries Day and Professional Secretaries Day, this yearly event became Administrative Professionals Day in 2000.

These professionals are truly the pillar of your organization. In fact, when they’re not at work, you probably notice their absence much more than the average team member. You probably don’t thank them enough for them contributions throughout the year, so make a point to go out of your way to recognize their efforts this Administrative Professionals Day.

7 Ways to Thank Your Administrative Employees
